Lisa & Ben Martens BartelAt Grovenland Farm, we offer you something you won’t find at any grocery store. Our Pastured Chickens (both meat and eggs), Pastured Pigs and Grass-Finished Cattle enjoy a diet full of fresh forage, while the Vegetables in our market garden are free from chemical inputs and pesticides.
Three generations farm together at Grovenland Farm. In 2011, Lisa and Ben Martens Bartel, and their 3 kids, moved from Winnipeg to rural Saskatchewan to begin a new farming story with Ben’s parents, John and Denise Bartel. Since they we have grown from 3 pigs to 150 pastured pigs, 1000 chickens, 45 cattle, and a market garden to feed many families. We sell all our food directly to consumers through our CSA (subscription-like program), local farmers markets, and virtual farmer coop store (The Farmers Table).
Aside from our Pasture Raised meats, we have a 40 member Vegetable CSA, and run the Lanigan Farmers Market. We are involved in the One School One Farm Shelter Belt Project and partner with Beuna Vista School in Saskatoon.
Tour the many gardens and all the outdoor raised livestock on foot, or hop on our wagon and go for a ride through the pastures to visit the pigs and cows.
