REGINA, SK – Get ready to explore Saskatchewan like never before! On August 8 and 9, Saskatchewan Open Farm Days invites you to step past the farmgate and connect directly with the passionate people who grow your food. With 38 diverse host locations opening their gates across the province, this is your behind the scenes look into Saskatchewan agriculture, no experience required.
Following a highly successful third year that drew over 4,000 visitors, the event continues to grow its impact. In 2025, guests got closer to farming than ever by milking cows, petting baby goats, and touring golden grain fields. This unique, immersive experience presented by Farm & Food Care Saskatchewan supported by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture is designed to meaningfully bridge the gap between consumers and local food production.
For newcomers and long-time residents alike, the event has become a source of provincial pride and community connection. Past attendees have raved about the eye-opening experiences, from touring a Hutterite colony to watching high-tech robotic milking systems in action. As one city-dwelling visitor shared: “Seeing agriculture in person made me even prouder to live in this province. Every stop offered something unique.”
From sprawling livestock ranches and berry orchards to bustling market gardens and grain operations, Open Farm Days allows you to customize your perfect weekend.

“Saskatchewan Open Farm Days is more than a weekend road trip,” says Ashley Stone, Event Coordinator. “It’s a celebration of the people, practices, and passion that power our province. Come meet the farmers, hear their stories, and see firsthand what it takes to feed the world.”
