Doyle and Valerie WiebeDoyle Wiebe is a fourth generation farmer and agricultural economist/ entrepreneur, with a BSA from the University of Saskatchewan. Doyle is transitioning into retirement from farming, with a joint venture partner. We employ modern sustainable farming practices, improving the soil and the environment for future generations. We have a 15 kw solar array, providing almost all of our farm and household electricity requirements. We recently acquired a very new and innovative technology called Green Lightening, which allows us to economically produce our own nitrogen fertilizer.
We have a 7000 acre grain farm, growing canola, wheat, barley and yellow peas.
Valerie Wiebe is an artist, singer/songwriter, designer and entrepreneur, with degrees in music, art, design and education. Her business, Wiebe Works Creative Productions, produces an annual art and music festival held on the farm – Art in the Garden Festival, as well as creative workshops and farm to table Chef’s Dinners.
Up close look at modern farming equipment; learning about technology in farming practices; observe the Green Lightening System (this would require a short drive); observe the harvesting process; Tour garden, festival facilities, out buildings using recycled materials and labyrinth; outdoor bathroom facilities with composting toilets.
